Coming Soon: Staff Page

Nine years is a long time to take up a whole mantle by yourself. For a while there, I had help from my amazing wife (co-founder of Photogeniuses, if you’re wondering what that ad is off to the side). Since we’ve had our son, the pressures of family life and professional life being compounded have taken a toll. It’s time to branch out and let some other artists put themselves out there under the banner of Lightcraft Entertainment. Between producing a web series and shooting upwards of 70 weddings a year, it doesn’t leave me much time for what most people would call “a life.”

That’s not to say I plan on growing into some corporate conglomerate with a dozen faceless employees that I’ll dispatch at random. Far from it. Lightcraft Entertainment will continue our mantra of personal attention. I simply believe it’s time to expand a little so that we can meet more of your needs, and incorporate a wider variety of style — therefore, expanding our appeal to a bigger audience. This also means more availability for you!

Stay tuned and be prepared to meet the new members of the family!

Spoiler Free Review: Goldfish (A Short Film)

Some of you may or may not know that I moonlight as a film critic for a local Michigan site called Spoiler Free Movie Sleuth. Just yesterday I was asked to lend my thoughts to a small short film from writer-director Dale Driver called Goldfish. Happy reading!

Two Stolen Hearts | Christina and Michael

My first cinematic wedding edit. This was an experiment to push my boundaries as a wedding videographer. For years, I had been allowing the music to tell the story of each couple. It’s much better this way — the vows and speeches of the couple themselves, as well as the people they love, bringing us into their world.

A New Look and a New Outlook

It had to happen eventually: This September, we will be throwing our hat into the ring at local bridal shows!!!!
I know, right? I always swore we would never do one of these things just because they tend to be so oversaturated with vendors and discount-hungry patrons. Well, I finally found one that suits my fancy. It’s called Rock the Veil, and it will be Wednesday, September 16. Lightcraft Entertainment will be one of only three videography companies in attendance at the event. The setting is the Royal Oak Farmers Market; it’s small and intimate, so we will actually be able to spend quality time with curious couples. At Rock the Veil, we will un…veil (get it?) our new 2016 packages. So if the current prices make you happy, book them now while you still can!

Oh, and I hope you enjoy the new look of the website. Consider this a bandaid until the complete overhaul of Lightcraft Entertainment really hits home!
